A retired CIA agent is haunted by both the agency he worked for and his own nightmares when he is unexpectedly visited by an unknown man after nearly three decades. Production was halted in March 2020 due to government restrictions. During this time, Jeff Bridges was diagnosed and treated for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. After recovery, the series returned to production. Bridges referred to the return as coming back from a “long weekend.” for podcast in July 2022. Appeared at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards (2024). Bridges and Lithgow have always been fantastic, but this story unfolds like a series of mini puzzles, especially the dialogue between Bridges and his daughter. I’m only halfway through episode 2 and I’m wondering if it’s really worth the effort to find out what drives these people to their goal. It’s very boring.
